STEAM programs are designed to integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics in the classroom for students. These programs aim to teach students to think critically and to have engineering or design approaches towards real-world problems while building on their math and science base. STEAM programs add art to STEM curriculum by drawing on design principles and encouraging creative solutions.
Much research and data shows that activities like Arts, which uses the right side of the brain supports and fosters creativity, which is essential to innovation. Arts integration goes beyond including art projects in class; it is a teaching strategy that seamlessly merges arts standards with core curricula to build connections and provide engaging context. Clearly the combination of superior STEM education combined with Arts education (STEAM) should provide the education system that offers the best chance for regaining the innovation leadership essential to the new economy.
This STEAM approach is also a cost effective way to create an innovation based education system. For example, a number of Arts programs, particularly visual arts, including graphic related design, courses can be added to curricula through applications that use existing computer and mobile resources which are available to most students, and in place in the majority of the schools and universities.
LOOP STEAM Academy is a suite of online software that helps students of all abilities engage with difficult STEAM concepts in a way that’s clear, interesting and memorable. At LOOP’s STEAM Academy, our students are problem solvers, innovators, inventors, and logical thinkers.
The program currently offers more than 100 different courses, most of which are at least 8 hours in duration. These courses span a large range of academic disciplines including courses such as computer programing, office productivity, video editing, photography, 3D editing —and the list goes on.

Loop’s STEAM Academy is a low cost alternative to traditional extra-curricular classroom-based training that is present in most educational institutions at the moment. It endorses automation and allows students to be more autonomous as well, being able to control what they learn and how fast they learn - allowing them to develop at a pace that’s comfortable and conducive.
There’s a different content emphasis at STEAM Academy - learning industry slanted technical skills as opposed to traditional academic learning, allowing students to pick up the right skills early on in their development and learning cycle. Students become independent and responsible learners - A direction that the new age economy strongly supports and will give students an advantage in their future workplace, so why not let our students get ahead of the curve too?
